(Note - Whilst the level does not offer alternative paths, there are some places you can totally ignore or skip. You can even end the level in five minutes, but you will miss several pick-ups, Secrets, kills and of course the whole action. If you want to see how you can skip some parts, we have created a separate page here. The walkthrough covers the long route, decribing the location of all pick-ups and kills.) (Note about the enemies - The bad guys in this level use weapons that are attached with a Laser Sight. When you kill them and they fall down, they shoot one last bullet. So, once you kill them, jump up or side-jump if possible to avoid this last bullet that unnecessarily takes some of your health.) You begin the level on a high ledge. Let's go for a couple of pick-ups and a Secret before going on (if you are not interested, as you will need to take a long route and then come back here, skip to the part of the walkthrough Back at the beginning). This page includes screenshots of the following sequence: how you can get to the Secret and return back. From the starting position, turn around and walk to the end of the ledge. Turn left to face the sloped roof. That way you will have the metal bridge to your back. Stand against the roof, tap back once, take one step backwards and take a running jump over the roof to land in an alley. Go to the end around to the right to get the Crystal and the Shotgun Shells. Back track and climb on the block in the corner, then onto the ledge above that overlooks the crane. 1st Secret - Facing the crane, drop off the ledge and onto the block to the right. Jump to the next lower ledge (the crane should be on your left now) and walk to the end. Safely drop to the ledge below, walk to the end and drop onto the ledge at the bottom of the grating. Facing the grating, drop backwards onto the block. Turn around and notice the opening in the sloped roof. From the back of the block, take a standing jump to the opening without pressing Action. Walk through the barbwires and go through the passage. Kill the two rats and pick up the Rocket and the Small Medi Pack. Alternative method - From the ledge that overlooks the crane, you can take a running jump to the crane (the standing jump works as well, but you will lose health). Then follow the crane to the right, drop on the stone ledge that is hanging from the crane, jump to the ledge which is next to the grating and climb down as described above to get the Secret. The way up is the same. Making your way back - Exit and walk through the barbwires to the left. Stand against the block and press Action and the up direction key to climb on the block (Lara loses some health). Climb on the ledge to the left and then climb up the grating. Dismount on the ledge on the right hand side and turn around. Jump to the stone ledge that is hanging from the crane and use the part where there are no railings in order to climb on the crane. Turn to face the wall where you climbed the grating and take a diagonal running jump to the right hand side to land on the ledge above the one you dismounted before. Jump to the next ledge, turn left and jump up to grab the edge above. Pull up and slide into the alley where you got the Crystal and the Shotgun Shells before. Once again, climb on the block in the corner and then on the ledge above that overlooks the crane. Turn left and take a diagonal standing jump to grab the back-side of the sloped roof. Shimmy to the left and pull up to slide on the ledge where you started the level. Back at the beginning - Turn right to face the direction when the level started (the sloped roof should be on your right) and drop to the grate below. The camera changes view and helps you locate a switch below. Hang from the grate and drop to the slide below, pressing Jump to land on the ledge with the switch (see this screenshot). Or, drop off the grate forwards and land on the slide. Press Action to grab the edge (if you drop on the lower flat ledge, you can grab the edge of the slide as it is not high), pull up and press Jump to back flip on the ledge with the switch. Kill the crow and throw the switch to raise a green trapdoor on the opposite building. Jump up to grab the bars and traverse to the ledge with the zip line (or simply take a running jump). Opposite building - Ride the zip line across to the sloped roof. Press Action whilst sliding to grab the edge, release and press it again to grab the crevice below. Shimmy to the right to reach the green trapdoor you raised before, but do not pull up. There is a bad guy lurking up there, so wait until you see him turning his back to you and moving towards the passage behind the wall. Immediately pull up and run to the left, to enter the passage with the switch. He will arrive very soon, but from here you can face him with relative ease. Once he is dead, pick up his Small Medi Pack. Ignore the switch for now, enter the building and go to the left. Take a standing jump to the first part of the next ledge. The second dark red part collapses below you, but you can use it and take a running jump in order to land on the opposite side (jump from the right hand side of the overhanging block). Kill the two rats and go through the passage. Kill the bad guy at the end and pick up the Flue Room Key he drops. Make your way back outside the passage to the ledge where you killed the rats. Hang from the edge (shimmy to the right if necessary), release Action and press it again to grab the grate below (if you drop on the lower metal ledge, you can grab the grate, as it is not high). Pull up and press the button to open a trapdoor next to the entrance of this building. Drop to the metal ledge below and crawl beneath the block to get the Harpoons. Safely drop to the ground and pick up the Flares and the Crystal from the two corners below the entrance, plus a Small Medi Pack among the rubble of the collapsed floor. Push the button to open a trapdoor at the top of the ladder and climb to the top. Dismount on the ledge to the right. You now need to exit the building and there are two ways. First way: You can do it by taking a running jump to grab the ledge you came from. It is the ledge in front of the floor that collapsed. Be careful of the overhanging block. Pull up and jump to the ledge in front of the entrance. Second way: You can use the trapdoor you opened next to the entrance. Hang from the edge and drop to the metal ledge. Turn around and take a running jump to grab the rock ledge ahead (or grab the horizontal crevice on the left hand wall and shimmy to the right). Pull up and go to the end. Turn right and walk up to the edge. Jump up to grab the ledge in front of the entrance and pull up. Exit and now use the switch to lower the green trapdoor. Hang from the edge and drop to the walkway below. Kill the crow. You can see five openings in the wall (as shown in this screenshot). The middle one is exactly beneath the green trapdoor. Jump up to grab it and shimmy to the right. Pull into the first alcove and get the Shotgun Shells. 2nd Secret - Crawl backwards and hang from the edge of the alcove. Shimmy to the right and pull into the second alcove. Get the Shotgun Shells (or the Shotgun if you do not have it), hang from the edge and shimmy to the left to return back to the walkway. Ledge above the alley - Facing the five openings, pull into the second one from the left (to the left of the opening that is beneath the green trapdoor). Start crawling and on the T-junction continue to the right (the left leads to an opening and you cannot go anywhere from there) until you can stand on a ledge above an alley. Take a diagonal standing jump to the ledge with the button. Push it to open a glass with a button elsewhere. Jump back to the ledge in front of the crawlspace and crawl back the same way you came in order to reach the walkway. Bottom area at the beginning of the level - Facing the openings, drop to the slide on the left hand side in order to land on a metal crate below. Kill the bad guy that is lurking behind the crate on the other side. Pick up the Uzi Clips behind a low crate next to the stack, plus a Crystal and some Flares in an opening behind the crates in the far right corner. Climb up the stack of crates, turn left and take a standing jump to the ledge at the bottom of the grating. Climb to the top and dismount to the either left or right. Climb up the next grating on the right hand side, then the next one to reach the top. Here you can do either: 1. Take a running jump to the opposite ledge, the one where you started the level. Once again, drop to the grate, then onto the slide to jump to the ledge where you used the switch in order to raise the green trapdoor. This time, do not jump\ traverse to the zip line. Instead, turn to face the building on the opposite side and walk to the front left corner. Turn left to aim the ledge with the Small Medi Pack and take a running jump to land onto it. 2. Take a standing jump with Action towards the starting ledge to land on a metal ledge attached to it below. Turn to face the alley and look down. You can see a long roof and the small one with the Small Medi Pack on the right. Take a running jump, pressing Action to lower Lara's arc, so that she does not lose any health at all, to land on the longer roof. Drop to the ledge with the Medi Pack (see this screenshot to get oriented). Traversing across - Jump up to grab the crevice above and shimmy to the right. Pull up onto the flat ledge, jump to the slope ahead and climb on the left hand path. At the end, follow the passage on the right hand side to reach a ledge above the alley with the scaffolding. Jump the gap and continue to the left around the corner. Climb on the ledge and kill the crow. Pick up the Large Medi Pack and push the button you uncovered before to raise the scaffolding. Return back to the gap and take a standing jump to the opposite ledge. Turn to face the scaffolding and take a running jump to it, pressing Action to avoid hitting on the slide above. Kill the crow and take a standing jump to the doorway. Pick up the Flares and use the Flue Room Key to open the door. (The above crow may attack after exiting the Flue Room, so keep your eyes open.) Flue Room - Drop down and head to the other side. Get the Crystal and push the button on the left to turn off a burner somewhere else and turn on the fires here. Crawl beneath the first double fire (or wait until it is out and dash past it) and run when the second fire goes away. Climb to the doorway and jump to the scaffolding. Drop to the ledge on the left hand side and, once again, crawl through the opening to reach the walkway at the front side of the building. You need to make your way back up to the ledge where you started the level, then to the ledge with the switch that raised the green trapdoor and finally to the slope you got the Small Medi Pack. Use the crevice again to shimmy across and reach the path. This time there is a bad guy in the passage, so take care of him or totally ignore him. If you do not want to lose any health, do not climb in the path. Stay in the walkway before it with your guns drawn and shoot him whenever you see Lara aiming at him. He will be moving around but he will not go too far. Climb to the ledge next to the passage and go to the right around the corners until you reach an opening in the floor. Before dropping down, take a standing jump to grab the ledge above the opening and pull up. Pick up the Shotgun Shells. 3rd Secret - Go to the left, turn around and drop backwards to grab the edge. Climb down the grating and pick up the Rocket. Climb back up, jump to the flat ledge where you got the Shells and then jump above the opening to the walkway below. Getting inside the Industrial - Drop backwards to grab the edge of the opening and drop down. (Here was the burner you turned off by using the button in the Flue Room.) Slide down the ramp to reach a ledge in the alley with the scaffolding. Take a standing jump to the opening ahead, pressing Action to avoid hitting on the upper part. Slide down and get the Crystal, plus a Large Medi Pack beyond. Slide down the next ramp and kill the two rats. Approach the edge of the tunnel. Inside the Industrial - For your information, there is a guard below, so have your weapons drawn. If you drop down backwards, the guard will be on your left. If you drop forwards and stay on the spot where you landed, then immediately start shooting at the guard and you can get rid of him at your ease, before he reaches you. You can see a switch and two covered buttons. If you go through the hallway, you will see two openings. Each one leads to a tank. The first tank is half filled and the second one is empty. Use the switch to fill both tanks with water. Go to the second tank and jump into the water. Get the Small Medi Pack and the Uzi Clips from the bottom and pull the underwater lever on the opposite side to open a hatch in the first tank (there is an opening you can climb out, but it leads to a third empty tank). So, climb out of the water, cross the hallway but do not enter the first tank now. Go back where you dropped into here and use the switch again to lower the level of the first tank and drain the second one. Enter the first tank, drop to the blocks below and jump into the water. Swim through the hatch and approach the propellers. As you approach them, they start moving slower so you can pass through them (if you had not thrown the switch for the second time, the propellers would not have slowed down and you would not have been able to pass through them). Swim to the other side beyond the propellers and surface. Climb out of the water and kill the guard who is standing almost at the end of the hallway. Go to the end and pick up the Shotgun Shells. Back track a bit and before crawling through the opening, kill the two rats. Crawl through the opening, pick up the Small Medi Pack and stand at the end of the walkway. Room with the electrical machine - Drop down. As you enter the next room, the camera shows you a panel. Keep that in mind. There is an electrical machine moving around, which rotates some wires in front of it. Make sure you do not touch it or you will die. You may want to go to the other side of the room and get a Crystal. The button here turns on the lights, but it is not so important to use it. Notice the movable grate on the left? The deal here is to push\ pull the grate and stand it to the intersection of the long hallway and the short one that is in front of the panel (see this screenshot). The electrical machine will bump onto the grate, turn around and enter the alcove with the panel. It will hit the panel and be electrocuted. Be careful though, when the machine comes towards you whilst you are pushing the grate. If you touch the grate or you are on top of it and the machine bumps onto it, you will be toasted. When you make it, a trapdoor will open and one of the glasses above will uncover the button. Exit and climb up the ladder, going through the trapdoor you just opened. Push the button you uncovered to fill the third tank with water. Turn right and kill the guard, who is coming through the hallway. Now use the switch again to fill the first two tanks with water. Third tank - Go to the second tank and jump into the water. Climb out from the small opening and enter the third tank. When you jump into the water, you can hear the security alarm. Climb out on the opposite side and kill the guard that is coming from the next room. Enter and push the button to uncover the second button, drain the water in the third tank and open the hatch at the bottom. Exit and follow the walkway to the left. Jump up to grab the bars above and traverse to the other side. Drop to the ledge and kill the two rats from the right. Crawl into the opening on the left hand side to get the Small Medi Pack and continue through the hallway, getting a Crystal on your way. The door closes behind you, so continue ahead. Pick up the Large Medi Pack and drop through the opening and into the water below. You are in the second tank, so climb out of the water through the opening on the left. Kill the guard and cross the hallway to reach the button you just uncovered. Use it to flood the third tank in order to access the hatch at the bottom. So, go to the third tank via the second one and jump into the water. Swim through the hatch and get the Harpoons. Follow the long underwater tunnel until you can surface to a flooded room. You will find some Shotgun Shells and a Small Medi Pack in two of the underwater corners. Get them and climb out of the water on the ledge, where you can see the ladder. Kill the bad guy and pick up the Small Medi Pack he drops. If you are low on health, you can pull up to the ledge just to trigger him. Then dive back in the water and get out in the alcove on the left. Turn around and shoot him from there with your Pistols. Get the Crystal from the hallway on the left and take a standing jump to grab the grating (be careful of the barbwires at the bottom). Climb to the top. Close to the crane - Carefully Walk through the barbwires and take a standing jump to grab the metal ledge ahead. Pull up, turn right and take a running jump to grab the edge of the roof with the barbwires at the top. Pull up and Walk to the right where you can jump to a flat ledge. Continue upwards taking standing jumps to clear the angled parts of the roof. Then continue downwards ahead but watch out of the barbwires at the bottom. There is a safe spot on the right, but you cannot drop off the ledge. You need to take diagonal standing jump towards the wall above the safe spot. Then Walk through the barbwires and get the Desert Eagle Clips from the other side. Return back up to the top the same way you came. Cathedral - When you climb on the ledge in front of the Cathedral, two bad guys will come from the left. If you do not move and wait for them here, you can kill them one by one. Now enter the Cathedral and locate the movable block which is the bottom of the central pillar. Since three of the four paths around are raised, you can only pull it. Pull it twice and climb on it. Then climb on the ledge on the right hand side. Drop into the depression and pick up the Large Medi Pack. Climb back up to the ledge. 4th Secret - Do not drop down yet. There is another depression behind the opposite slide. Stand having the depression you got the Medi Pack to the back of you and take a running jump over the slide without pressing Action (see this screenshot). Make sure you press the up direction key during the jump to avoid sliding down. Pick up the Cathedral Key and take a standing jump to get out of the depression. (You will not use this key and it will disappear when you load the next level. You need to get it though, as it counts as a Secret). 5th Secret - Exit the Cathedral from the path in front of the movable block. Go to the right and just in the second corner of the walkway, locate the ladder. Climb to the bottom and then climb down the two blocks. Get the Large Medi Pack from the crawlspace and return back up to the walkway. Go to the left and drop down where there are no railings to end the level. In the cut scene, a sniper shoots at Lara and so she does at him. She finally disarms him and she asks whom he is working for. He tells her for a woman named Sophia Leigh. She then asks him who she is, but the sniper says he does not know. He says that he kills people for her, like his father and grandfather did before him. Lara then asks him how old is Sophia and he tells her that she is in her late 20's or early 30's. Then the sniper tells her that he gets bonus for some special kills, like Lara. He says that he could even retire from her. Lara warns him for the bell that is coming towards him, but he cannot make it and the bell throws him away. "Happy retirement" Lara says and slides through an opening beneath the bell.
