Foreword

The TR-L:SCU is just a front-end to the debug-switches, the developers at Crystal Dynamics built in in the games version 1.2. Those switches were brought to my attention by “nothingtolose” on http://www.tombraiderforums.com.

This SCU is by far not as powerful as the SCU for TR-AOD was, since it is limited to the options Crystal Dynamics have implemented into the game.

The TR-L:SCU will create a file called “TR7.arg” in the root directory of your game’s installation disk. This file contains the parameters you can set with the SCU and is loaded every time the game starts. So if you want to start the game without the SCU-settings, be sure you either reset the settings using the SCU itself, or delete the file manually from your drive.

Prerequisites

1)The TR-L:SCU can only be used for PC versions of the game.
2)You will have to apply the TR-Legend Patch V1.2 for the SCU to execute correctly.
If you currently do not have installed the patch, you can get it here:
http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/tr7/updates.html
3)You also will have to install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (or higher) to get the SCU running.
If you haven’t installed the Framework yet, you can get it (along with the installation instructions) directly from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en
4)If you have moved your game’s installation manually after installing it from the disc, the SCU probably won’t work.

User Interface

When you load up the program, and you have installed the .NET Framework correctly, you will see a screen like this:
